Queens of the Stone Age – Villains

Queens of the Stone Age just released their 8th studio album, titled Villains. I’m a firm believer that Queens of the Stone Age can do no wrong, and this album only strengthens that belief. I have been a fan of Queens of the Stone Age for quite some time, so when they announced the pre-order for this album I jumped on it. There are a few different versions that were released, including: a deluxe edition, an indie exclusive, and a standard edition. I chose to pre-order the limited edition indie exclusive, which features alternative artwork by Boneface.

I gave this its first spin last night, and I gotta say, it’s a very solid album. Being a huge fan of …Like Clockwork when it released in 2013, I couldn’t wait to hear more from them. Villains isn’t quite in the same echelon as …Like Clockwork, but packs a punch with some really powerful tracks. Some early favorites of mine are, “Fortress”, “Head Like a Haunted House”, and “The Evil Has Landed”. I look forward to spinning this a few more times to let these tracks soak in.

The Indie Exclusive version is sold out almost everywhere but Discogs. To pick up a standard edition of the album, click below!
